Oconee County has a wide variety of interest.  We have great restaurants, quaint shops and antique shops to all the big box stores that are common to busy areas.  Yet, the mountains and surrounding lakes allow you to take it easy when life calls for some down time.  There are lots of recreational areas on Lake Keowee, Hartwell and Jocassee and the mountains offer walking trails, waterfalls and beautiful sights! Oconee County has a healthy, invigorating climate well suited for outdoor activities, as well as, comfortable retirement living. The area offers four distinct but mild seasons.
